A Note from Elgo: End of a consumer. Birth of a creator.

Wow. Two years gone by without a single post. I'm good at this blogging thing! A lot has happened in those two years though. I went through a major career shift that found me working backstage on various theatre productions and brought about new goals in my life. Finally, I feel like things are heading in the right direction.

Aside from the career stuff, I want to put more emphasis on my hobbies this year and focus more on creating. For too long I've been solely a consumer; it's time to create. One way I intend on doing this is through writing regularly. Whether the writing moves ahead my main project or simply some random one-off, it will move me forward. And hopefully towards another possible stream of revenue, though that is not the end goal.

I also have a decent camera that has sat mostly unused in the past year. I think it's to put that to some use...

This blog will become a depository of my random creations that I feel like sharing. Whether they be an entirely random piece of writing, a photo I'm particularly proud of, or whatever I deem worthy I will put them here. I even see this as place to share my thoughts.

Consider this my little corner of the internet. Things may get weird.

The Inaugural Post: A Beginning

This is a beginning...

Yeah. I know. Sounds similar to Ze Frank's "Invocation for Beginnings" which is essentially what I want say, only I'm nowhere near as eloquent as Ze. But I can try. I'd be lying if I said he wasn't an influence.

Like I said, this is a beginning...but of what, I don't know. All I know is I've been putting this off for too long. One day, this may evolve into a video blog, it might remain a blog, it might become some sort of mutant child born of the two...but whatever it becomes, I'm sure it will be awesome.

Whatever this is, whatever this will be I welcome you.
